Number One Seagate was bought by ​my husband (Alan) & I in July 2020 and had been empty & unloved for quite some time.  We were totally in love with the location on the Yorkshire Coast and had been looking for our ideal holiday home for a number of years.  As soon as we walked into what is now Number One Seagate, we knew it was 'the one' and had a strong visual image of what we wanted to do.   We set about gutting & renovating the property at the start of Winter 2020 (good timing!) but thankfully by May 2021 it was ready to welcome it's first guests.

I'm not a native to Yorkshire, I grew up on the Devon & Cornwall coast until I ventured further afield to study & work.  After a number of years working abroad I settled back in the UK and met my husband.  He introduced me to Yorkshire & its glorious coast, having family in the region.  My experience of the North of England was limited up to that point but I quickly became a massive convert!   I was blown away by the rural beauty of the countryside and the varied landscape of the coastline - together with the genuine warmth of the Yorkshire welcome!

With Number One Seagate, it's my mission to create a comfortable & stylish retreat where our guests can savour every minute of their valuable downtime.
